Winning streaks

How come there are days when I can sit down at any slot machine and lose and lose at all of them, and other days I can't seem to lose?

It's like when you're hot, you're hot, and when you're not, you're not.

I should learn to quit after a few machines show me the cold shoulder and save my money for the next day, when I may have a winning streak.

This makes no rational sense at all, but seems to happen everytime I go to Vegas.

This seems to happen everywhere. I have good days and bad too. Is it because there are so many different people who play the machines? I have sat down at one and watched the machine next to me go through ten to fifteen different people.
