I am always on the look out now for great tips when it comes to taking a vacation to Las Vegas.

I found this video of tips that someone posted about some of the do's and dont's in Las Vegas and I was wondering if you all agree or disagree with tips that he has given?

Tips

I personally think that it is a great idea to gather as many tips about how to save money and what to do in Las Vegas so that when you finally get the chance to go there, you can really get yourself prepared!!

Personally I do disagree that you shouldnt bring the kids along. I know that there are alot of things to do there for families so if I were to take a vacation there....of course I would bring the kids along.

Then again if I was only going for a couple of days then maybe I wouldnt, so that I could have more adult type fun.

Any how what are some of the tips that you agree with and some that you disagree with and why. The more information everyone can gather the better off everyone will be on their first trip to Las Vegas.

I do agree with him on the fact of driving to Las Vegas is a "do not do" thing.

If you live several states over, you will spend a lot of money and time on a trip when you could be spending it in Las Vegas.

And as far as staying on the strip that's a good call to a point, but what about seeing the hot spots that made Las Vegas what it is today?

Like Fremont Street is down past the Stratosphere and the Sahara Hotels.
You can walk the distance from the main part of the strip in about a half hour or so, so why bother with a cab?

And, what about getting a few groceries to supply your room during your stay?
The grocery stores are off of the strip and a cab is the best way to get to them.

Ask for a small refrigerator and humidifier when you check into your room.
And then go to the grocery store to get your cold foods and snacks to put in your frig and in the room.
This will save you a little money on those night time snacking urges.
Plus I like to have just a sandwich sometimes for a snack, and those fixin's can be kept in your room.

Going to Vegas is all about having fun. Get away from your job and your worries in life, and just live-it-up! :D

I agree with most all he says.

and I agree with Vegasluvsme....stock up your room with snacks and drinks. especially if you bring the kids....

I even bring a hot water pot with me, so i can make coffee..and not have to leave the room till i am awake..LOL
(cause i noticed that most of the hotels on the strip in vegas DO NOT have coffee pots) and if you bring the kids, you can bring instant oatmeal along for breakfasts.

Well I have to agree with the not driving to Vegas. I mean really it would just take forever and the expense would be too much. I want to have some money left to gamble.

I also think that he is probably right about staying on the strip. It may be cheaper to room off strip but getting a cab onto the strip and back again would probably make up for the difference.

I agree with most of what he had to say. I also think that you can never hear enough tips. The more the better prepared you can be and the more fun you will have!

As far as taking the kids along. That just depends on how you plan to spend your time in Vegas. Vegas is kid friendly depending on what you do there. It's a personal choice.
