During the first year and a half of the current Vegas building boom, 12 workers died in accidents. These tragic deaths gave Vegas a reputation for unsafe construction practices.
During the past 6 months, there have been no more deaths on the construction sites. It's been reported that a concerted effort by all parties concerned have improved conditions at the construction sites.
This is good news for the construction workers and their families, hopefully conditions will continue to improve and there will be no more fatalities due to overworked workers, faulty equipment, or carelessness.
