If you were lucky enough to vacation in Vegas on New Years Eve I am sure you had a ball. There were plenty of people to celebrate the new year with. It is being estimated that 30,000 people were in the city ready to PARTY!
People were wearing glasses in the shape of 2009, this being the last year that two zeros will be together. The smell of beer was in the air all you could hear were cheers for the new year.
Lots of celebrities were in attendence as well, many of them performed. Kid Rock was at the Palms, Pink was at the Hard Rock Hotel and at Mandalay Bay you could find Akon. They all held performances.
Other celebrities who did not perform but were there for the party were, Usher, Denise Richards, Kim Kardashian and Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and Pete Wentz.
At the Paris Las Vegas at about 9pm, motocross rider Robbie Maddison jumped 100 feet to the top of the Arc de Triomphe replica. He then, daringly, free-fell about 50 feet landing on the other side flawlessly.

At The Mirage, Robbie Knievel flew 200 feet in front of the fire spewing volcano. This came on the 41st anniversary of the attempt that his late father, Evel Knievel tried to jump over the Caesars Palace fountain which was unsuccessful.

What a New Years bang all of that must have been.
