MGM to hire 12,000 workers for its "City Center" resort

This is great news, especially with unemployment rates at an all-time high. In all reality, they are only going to hire around 6,000 people; as the other 6,000 openings are expected to be filled by current/recently laid off employees of MGM.

That is great news for the people without jobs in Vegas. Now if the rest of the US will follow suit, maybe things will start to change.

Let's hope this lasts. Things look pretty bad, but Sands stock went up yesterday due to news of a relaxation of laws in China. Having a major investment in Macau, this could be very good for Sands and other Vegas folks.
