Is This True?

A friend of mine and her husband always travel to Las Vegas at least twice a year.

They have told me that it is much better to drive there than it is to fly...is this true?

They say by driving there they get to see sites that would normally be missed if you were flying there.

This is what I was planning on doing because I have never been in a plane before and just the thought of it scares me nearly to death.

I was just wanting to ask those who have been there which would be the better way to get there...By plane or car?

Of course I dont know if or when I will ever get the chance to make the trip myself, though I would like to be a bit prepared in case the chance ever presents itself.

That really depends on how far you are away and if you like to travel in a car for many hours. I know I had rather fly, but I am all the way on the east coast so driving would be at lesst a three day drive and I can fly there in bout 6 hours.

I love to see the sites but I hate riding or driving for that long.

No doubt about it, it's a personal choice. It would also take me about three days to get there and one time we drove to Texas to visit my husband's family. It took us two days to get there and we barely stopped along the way at all other than to refuel and we did stay in a hotel at night. Man it was miserable. Thats a long time to spend sitting just riding along.

There are some beautiful things to see but even as scared as I am of flying, I'd fly. No way would I want to drive or ride for that long. Not again!

Unless you have a few weeks for this trip, I wouldnt drive there. It is a 3 day trip by car and there is a lot to be seen on the drive out there, but if you are pushed for time, you arent really going to do much as far as seeing all the sites is concerned.

I flew to Vegas a couple of years ago and it was my first time on an airplane and it wasnt scary at all. In fact, it was extremely exciting. And if you have a window seat, it is even better. You can look out and what you see is simply amazing.

So, if its at all possible, fly to Vegas, then spend time seeing all the sites in and around Las Vegas. You will be glad you did.

I agree with all the responses on traveling to Las Veagas, it is a personal preference and if you have the money and time take the long trip, there's a lot to see on the way over from the east coast.

I've driven a big rig from one end of the U.S. to the other and wish I would've had someone with me to share the beauty of our America.
My deliveries may have been late several times if a loved-one were with me, because of stop-offs for pictures.
But being a solo driver as I were and alone on the roads, I didn't make many stops on my ventures across the land, but I did see a lot and took a few pictures.

I'd rather fly to Las Vegas now since I live on the east coast, so I can save my extra dollars to spend on gambling or trinkets and souvenirs. :D

My mom went both ways and she says that it is much better to drive if you have the extra time and money.There are so many beautiful sites to see along the way.No matter which way that you come from.

There are so many little shops and scenery that you could nerver see on a plane she said.The beauty of the weather be it rain,or sun shine.It is a really big place to go and has so much money put into the sights that you will really be amazed.

To have the freedom to come and go while you are there without having to take a bus or something can never be a bad thing wjile you are away from home.I love my car and I really prefer taking it eith me anywhere I go if at all possible.
