I can't seem to find any news on this.
It happened in August 2007.
YouTube - Las Vegas Woman Hits Jackpot, Casino refuses to pay
Anyone know how this was dealt with?

The womans name was Aurea Privee and she was playing penny video poker at the Fiesta Casino in Henderson, Nevada when she hit what the machine said was a $1,000,000.82 jackpot.
At this point in time, her husband took two pictures of it showing in two places that this was indeed a million dollars that Aurea had won but, in actuallity, the casino said that it was supposed to be about a $832 jackpot.
Fiesta Casino states that it was a machine malfunction, which, by the way, in Nevada allows nonpayment of funds from a machine. It is being argued that it was human error that caused the problem because there had been a failure to upgrade the software for the game at Fiesta Casino.
The Gaming Commission is supposed to rule on this case, but the latest update I could find was for August, 2008 stating that the case is in appeal.

I think they should give her half the ammount to keep it out of court. If the machine malfunction shows you win a certain amount, that is your winnings.
I know that is a lot of money just to be giving away, but machines don't lie and I did see the $1,000,000.82 on the screen too.
I hope they give her a big settlement for this one.
Aurea does play bingo and other games there a lot, so the casino will eventually get some of their money back from her, not to enclude what she has spent there in the past who-knows how many years now.
