Just a couple of months ago, I was totally lost when trying to play craps. I can't say that I'm an expert - not by any means, but I'm beginning to enjoy playing.

I doubt I'll ever be good at the game, but I know that I can at least bet using the passline and most of the time, I come out a winner! I need to learn to use some of the other types of betting, however. Does anyone have a kind of "next step" for me to try?

Yes, I watched a friend rack up some big chips while playing craps.

I had noticed he was on an active table. If you see a craps table that is nearly full and a lot of cheering going on, that's the one to get on. Or the one you would like to be on before the cheering begins.

I don't know too much about the game of craps, but watched and have an idea.

Start off with the pass line to build up your chips. I had noticed my friend put chips on the big numbers where the marker is kept after he made enough to bet on them. He ended up with his chips on nearly every one of those numbers and was raking in the chips.

I guess my friend happened to get on a hot table with a couple of good throwers. I stopped by there a couple hours later and he walked away from that table about $3,000 to the good. It takes several hours to build up a good amount of chips if you play them right.
I guess the timing was right for him on the craps tables. The day before he had made some $5,000 from the craps table and he put in the cash cage where he was staying.

The more you bet the more you can make on craps, but you can also loose a lot if the dice come up craps.

I used to think craps was a waste of time and money. Then when looking it up I found there are a few bets that the house edge is pretty reasonable. (like 1.5%)

So may have to take a look at the $5 craps table some more when I go back :crossfingers:
