Las Vegas is full of fun and excitement. Due to this it is also quite easy to end up losing personal items. Be sure that when you are in Vegas to keep a close eye on your items such as purses and wallets. Most of the time if you end up losing such items they are never seen again, and if your lucky to get them back they are usally empty. So keep these items close to you at all times. A great idea is to purchase a pouch which straps to your waist, ankle or wrist to carry your money, credit cards and your ID in. This way there is no real need to carry a purse or wallet which can be forgotten and left behind or stolen. Here are some tips to help safeguard yourself in vegas.
If you are carrying a wallet place a rubber bank around it. This makes it a great deal harder to slip it out of your pocket. Also if your carrying a wallet place it into your front pocket rather than your back. If you are carrying a purse keep in strapped around your neck and shoulder if possible. Never leave it on the floor. If need be keep it on your lap. This may be unconfortable but you are less likely to walk away without it. This especially goes if you are in a casino where there is a great deal of excitement, and the money is changing hands at a rapid rate. With the excitement and fun that Las Vegas has to offer everyone who visits there are also things such as theives you have to guard yourself against. So while your in Las Vegas have loads of fun but at the same time make sure that you are on your guard at all times.
I am sure that while you are in Las Vegas, the casinos are not going to be the only thing you want to see. There are a great deal of attractions in Vegas. So reguardless as to where you are becareful. Those who have chosen the profession of picking pockets, are very skilled. It only takes a matter of seconds for a professional to lift your wallet or purse if you are not keeping and eye out. This is why it is so difficult for authorities to find these professionals. They are quick and very good at what they do. Most of the time visitors are unaware of the fact that their wallet or purse is missing until it is to late to do anything about it. Now please dont get me wrong I am not saying that every single person you meet in Las Vegas is out to rip you off, cause that just is not at all true. Las Vegas is just like every where else in the world, there are always a few bad apples. There are alot of ways that you can protect yourself from such pickpocketing professionals that with just a bit of research before your trip and planning you can find that you are able to protect yourself quite easily and have a whole lot of fun with out all the worry!

Thanks for these tips, it's important to be careful of personal items in any busy place, Vegas in a large casino, at a mall, or even the grocery store. It only takes a second for someone to grab a purse and the thief can be gone before you even realize that your cash is no longer where you left it.

So very true. The last thing you want is to reach for your wallet and find that it is gone, and you are left there with out any cash or credit. That is why it is highly recommended that where ever you go in Las Vegas you keep your wallet and purse close at all times, or the use of a velcro pouch that goes under your clothing on your person. They are made for waist, ankle or even wrists and they hold your money and ID. This way if someone does grap your purse or wallet all they are getting are things that are not as valuable and are usally easily replaced.

I always take a purse with a long handle and put it across my neck, that way no one can take it just by grabbing, they would have to pull you with it. LOL

When i go to vegas...and playing at the casino's...I use a fanny pack...yeah it's old fashioned..but it stays with you, and you can keep your id, ciggs, and players cards all handy, without worring about leaving it somewhere

when I do go into a casino with my purse, I keep my player card attached to it...so if i stand up...i notice the card snaping back at me. that way I remember the card, and my purse.
