Just like every where else Las Vegas has also been hit with crisis of the economy.
Some say it was hit the worst. Over two decades of outsize boom in Las Vegas has turned into a bust.
The rate of unemployment in Vegas hit almost 8% back in November of 2008. The rate of foreclosures in Clark County is one of the highest in the nation.
Even though the citys lucky streak seems to have gone sour, for those who are frugal travelers this is good news.
In a city where there are more than 140,000 hotel rooms and the occupancy rates are down by around 15%, this means that frugal travels can find some great deals. This is according to Dr. R. Keith Scher who is the director for the Center for Business and Economic Research. Which is located at the University of Nevada in Las Vegas.
If you have dreamed of staying at the some of the more grand hotels in Vegas you may now be able to find some great rooms at a price which wont break your bank.
