When you are making your plans for your trip to Las Vegas, as the time for departure nears, most always have a feeling of something being forgotten.
Well this little problem can be solved by making a check list of all items you are wanting to take with you. It is also a good idea to make a check list of things that you need to do around your home to ensure safety while your away.
Making check lists may seem silly though in the end it can really help you with peace of mind that all has been done, everything was taken care of, and you havent forgotten on anything.
I am sure that we have all seen the movie Home Alone, and that is the last thing you want to have happen to you.

LOL, these are great tips. I cannot even manage to go to the grocery store without a list so I would definitely need to make a list for going clear to Las Vegas. I would forget to take something really important with me like clothes or something! LOL

LOL, Vegasrocks you sound like me. I am always making lists. It has just become habit with me, though now I find that I make them for everything.
I will say that our lists, ensure that we dont forget things as many others tend to do. Though I will also say that with out my lists, I am pretty lost. ROFL.

I am a list and a "pile" person. Before trips...I have list of to-do's before i leave....
and piles of stuff I want to take with me.
I have the cloths pile, the electronics pile (chargers, camera etc)
Bathroom pile, office pile. when i am ready to go..i just go collect all my piles...LOL
I put the list on a white board in Kitchen, with to do list...like water plants, leave list for mom (since she takes care of animals) etc...
I have found it makes for a much better trip....but you know...there is always that One thing I forget...or at least feel like I forgot...I get in car...and sit and think for a few mins....always remember what it was after I am in the air...LOL

I am disorganized as can be. An hour before I leave I open the suitcase and throw everything in there.
I haven't forgotten things that matter to me yet - I just go through the process in my mind - arrive in vegas - get luggage (reminds me to put on a new tag), get cab (do I have change) get to hotel room and so on and so on. While I go through the first 24 hrs in my mind, everything gets packed.
Only thing I consistently forget is my camera, I am not in the habit of taking pics and really would like to start.

When I travel I always take a carry case with camera stuff in it (spare batteries, extra memory card)...I find if I keep that camera case in my suitcase (since I don't use that case at home) ...I see it when packing...and rememeber camera.
or...it goes in one of my piles! LOL

Ya well, even if the camera makes it to my destination, I still forget to take it with me when I leave my room.
I think I need to start just using my cell... I know I have that with me.

Always make sure you check your car for anything leftover before you leave it at the airport or off-site lot, as well. The first two times I went to Vegas, I left my camera in the car.....OOPS!
Also, since there are so many things to do and see in Vegas, I would strongly suggest making a list of stuff you plan on doing while out there...Out of 4 times going, I've YET to see Freemont street, because I got caught up in other stuff and just couldn't find the time to go there...

Good suggestions....yeah there is sooo much to see and do...and when you get side tracked it's hard to do everything you wanted to.
As for the car, ewwww...that is bad to leave camera in there. It's also good to make sure you don't leave anything of value where it can be seen in the windows....and empty any travel cups you may have used...it's nasty when you get back...LOL
