Me and a buddy will be going to vegas this year for spring break, and I am interested in visiting several clubs there. But I am getting all kinds of crazy info from the web about clubs in vegas, and am wondering if someone in the know can clarify stuff.

- If you go on eBay you will see you can buy all these "VIP Club Passses" for various clubs for pretty cheap, less than the standard cover charge. But if you do investigation online lots of people say that you will have to pay cover ANYWAY, even with these passes, unless you are a hot chick. Is that true - are these just a money-grabbing scam and do not actually get you anything?

- Also, some sites claim you can get these passes from any hotel concierge if you ask. Is that true?

- Finally, about the hot chick claim - someone else on a forum went even farther and said that unless you are with a bunch of girls or grease some wheels (ie bribe the bouncer), two guys will *NEVER* even be able to get into any club in Vegas. Is that true?

My sister went with a bunch friends to Vegas not too long ago and she got all those VIP passes. I asked her how she got them and she told me that she got a pack of them from the concierge for like $20.

She did say that even though they got those tickets, that at some of the clubs no one in the group had to pay the cover and at others the guys still had to pay even though they had the VIP tickets.

if you have a casino host they will be able to assure you get in no problem. other than that the best thing to do is order bottle service. this assures you a reservation and instant access. stay away from anything bought on ebay or online. those "vip" sites are for anyone who will pay so basically you will be in line with a million other "vips". greasing a doorman may work but keep in mind you are in vegas and what may seem like a big tip somewhere else may not fly. a doorman is not going to risk his job for a hundred bucks....

So it's true what I've heard, then? Which is that doormen to popular Vegas clubs can make upwards of 6 figures a year?

Good question, brunes.

I would call the hotel I am staying at, if you want to find out before you go. Or you can just ask the concierge or the players club when you get there. The players club sometimes gives these away for free when you pick up a new player card.

Ebay - don't. Likely not worth it.

without batting an eye. hell a group of mine gave a guy 2k once to make sure we were looked after. last minute plans about a dozen, or so, went to a club on a fight weekend. we had no reservations. we ponied up, talked to the doorman and were escorted to a private lounge instantly...
