Lots of things are happening in Las Vegas every minute, every second. Something newsworthy. Here is a look back at some of the top news stories from 2010.

Probably the biggest story in Vegas this year was the election. It ended up being in the nations spotlight with Senator Harry Reid and Sharron Angle with the tea party and all of that that went on.

Second has to be the economy. It was probably the number one spot for 2009but small improvements have been seen. This year unemployment did reach 15%. Lots of foreclosures were listed too but new casinos were still built.

Officer involved shootings have to be on the list this year I hate to say. Twenty-five people were shot by the LVPD this year. Don't get me wrong, most had no choice. Two shootings stand out though and in a public outcry some changes have been made.

The new bridge is pretty big news. The Hoover Dam Bypass got completed giving travelers a much faster route.

Lake Mead is shrinking. A decade of drought has withered the lake down to lower levels than when it was created. It has plunged about 130 feet.

Like every year, some celebrities found themselves in trouble in Vegas. Who fought the law and lost? Well here are a few of them... Floyd Mayweather Jr., Vince Neil, Bruno Mars, Paris Hilton and Palms owner George Maloof.

Lots of lots more things have happened this year.

Anyone have something to add?

It's been one heck of a year in Las Vegas!
