A crowd of about 2,000 college students and teachers gathered on UNLV’s campus yesterday for a protest. The governor proposed a 36 percent budget cut. That is $472 million less then last year. It will effect, salaries, class size, offerings, and tuition fees.

The rally went on for an hour and a half. When it started to sprinkle rain, Chet Buchanan said, That’s not rain, God is just crying over budget cuts. If this happens, some students are afraid they will not get a degree. The students and teachers are going to take the next step now and go to the legislators.

Education is the backbone of our country and the more students that can get into education, the smarter our society will be in the long run.
