Ok I have heard alot of people talk about the game craps. Though I will admist that I am clueless about it.
Can anyone explain to me how the game is played, and possibly tell me of a place where I can play it for free to see if it is something I may like to try in Las Vegas?
Thanks for your help.

Craps – The come bet
One of the first things to remember when playing craps is that the odds to have in mind while playing is not only the odds of the bets but also the odds of the dices which could be calculated by multiplying the quantity of ways a number could rolled by the quantity of faces a dices have, for example a 7 have 6 ways of being rolled out which is the basis of the house edge. Now to the point, the come bet is a bet placed on the come area, the bet works like the pass line with the difference that it could be placed on any moment of the round and the next time the shooter rolls it will be your come-out roll, hence the name come line.
The come bet is designed to behave essentially like a pass line bet, with the exception that a come bet could be placed anytime throughout the game, the procedure would be to place the chips on the come area and on the next roll of the dices if the shooters get 7 or 11 the player win automatically, if the shooter rolls 2, 3 or 12 craps, you lose else you establish a point, moment in which the dealer moves your chips to the lay area of the table where you point is established, like when playing pass line bets the player could place odds, he could place them just behind his bet on the come area, if he is fast enough, else he needs to place them on the come area and announce to the dealer “Odds on Come” which means the dealer would place the chips on top of the point you established. A variation of the pass line bet would be that if on a come out roll a user rolls a 2, 3 or 12 craps the player lose the bets but the odds are returned to him and works vice versa if the shooters wins a point he gets paid for the bets and not for the odds, of course he could tell the dealer to keep the odds working and they would be considered to any outcome of the next dices roll by the shooter.
Is of very high importance for the player to make a mental bookmark when playing the come bet, the player have winning opportunities not only for the points he have established but also for the points that the shooter has making a real winning combination, of course that correspond to a betting strategy for more info check out some informative sites like

First off you should buy a good book on the subject before you ever think about setting foot in a casino and that goes for any game you play in the casinos. You can buy any book on craps on line there are about 850 of them.
First book I bought was by John Patrick's on craps. One of the other writers I would recommend is Charles C Westcott.
Then there are a few craps forums that are free, but you need to ask questions when you go on them if you want to learn anything about the game, they are a lot of players that will answer your questions, they want to help you out, so you do not cost them money when you are playing, by doing something stupid.
We all did stupid things when we first started out playing, and some of us still do!
When you are at the table you can ask questions most players don't mind, but don't do it if the players has the dice and is shooting.
When the dice move from the center of the table to the shooter don't try to make a late bet!
Don't make any bets that the stickman is asking you if you want to make they are all bad bets.
Craps is one of the best games in the casino and it's not hard to learn, try it you will like it, but read about the game first!

I've been to online players union and they do have a good section on craps.
Not that I've played craps, I do have a pretty good idea on how to get started when a new games starts; on the pass or no pass line.
Most people prefer starting on the pass line since it's the one that usually hits the most after the dice are thrown for the first time in a new game.
After the fiirst throw and bets are paid off, then you can bet on almost any spot on the craps table.
Again, most people will stick to the pass line over and over, which is an easy bet to get some money back.
But I've seen a friend play the big numbers and make a good collection of chips over time.

I have yet to play craps, but I do know it's all about how much and where to bet on the craps table, and how good the dice thrower is at throwing the dice.
I've watched a friend take up craps, and in two days he accumulated over 3000 dollars. A lot of it has to do with luck, too.

I also have never played craps, although I have read all the rules etc at Online Players Union and have a good idea how to play the game.
But I have never had the urge to try it. I will have to check out this game the next time I am at one of the casinos. I may change my mind and give it a try.

Starting out playing craps in a casino can be difficult, as the action is fast and furious. You should Present your player's card before you place a bet. You can place your bet on either the Pass Line and with the numbers, or on the Don't Pass Bar and against the numbers.
