We played alot of 3 Card poker in vegas the last time we went, our son (who just turned 21 and never gambled) Fell in love with the game.

Our first chance at playing it was at Bill's and found a table with just one other person, we sat down (3 of us) and had a blast! the other fellow there was giving us pointers, and if you all talk to each other, you can find out what everyone has (since you play the dealer not each other) and can tell if the dealer has a chance for a high pair or not. It was great fun!

So they let you discuss this? Doesn't that put the casino at a disadvantage?

Not really - You are not playing against anyone. Everyone's, including the dealers, cards are dealt at the same time.

No one gets paid if the dealer has less than a queen high.

Queen high or better for the dealer and your cards have to win.

There is a 3 card poker bonus bet you can make that you will at least a pair in your hand. The payouts are normally:

Pair - 1 to 1
Flush - 4 to 1
Straight - 6 to 1
Three of a Kind - 30 to 1
Straight Flush - 40 to 1

They seem to vary from casino to casino but the house still has an edge of about 2 1/2 - 5 1/2%.

I had some fun with the 3 card poker last time I was in Vegas. The payouts were much better than at the multi-deck blackjack table, where I sat down and lost $30 in five minutes.

I got up from the muti-deck blackjack table and found a single deck table where I doubled my left-over $.

What had pissed me off with the pairs bet on the 3 card poker table, was whenever I didn't bet it, a strait or 3 of a kind would show in my hand.
Seems like that happens more times than not.

But, when I was at a $10 3 card poker table a year ago with $30 left over, I caught the Strait Flush on my $20 including the $10 on the pairs button bet. :D

I played my winnings down to $350 after a dealer change and got out with the cash.

Cool!! it's always better to get out with cash...lol

And yes..they let you discuss....not like you can change cards or anything....and either way they still have your ante...since you have to put up another bet to stay in.
