I love to play poker but I have never played at a casino. It scares me and I really don't know enough about the casino rules to play for cash.

When I was small I remember when me and my family with our parents would sit and play penny poker. We always called it penny anti. It really brings back great memories. I remembered tho when I was small, I would get so excited over a big pot that I would win.

We played other games as well as poker, baseball, and in between. My favorite was baseball. Baseball was a game that was dealt 7 cards, 2 down and 5 up. You would bet on each card. If you got a wild card, which was a nine, you would have to put in a penny. If you got a 4, you would have to pay a penny and you would get an extra card. The hand at the end with the best cards, would win.

Does anyone else have a poker playing story as a child they would love to share?

Yep, playing poker as a child or a young teenager for myself. I had lived in a christian home for many years and my mother had parted ways to be remarried. I had moved in with her at the age of 12 and started to learn how to play cards then.

Once I had made neighbor friends, we would all get together and play 5 or 7 card draw poker. We would first start out with just jokers as wilds and then we would add one or two wilds in there to make the game more exciting. We would use snacks, like pretzels, for our betting since money was scarce. We still had a blast at the card games, with or without paying up or winning the pots.

I also learned how to play Canasta, Hearts, Spades, 5 card stud and several other poker games by the age of 13.
And who could forget playing UNO. When it first came out, it was a big hit with us kids. I guess they made this game to keep the younger generation away from the real poker games, but we still played them at home.
