Hi,
I live in Ct. and go to Mohegan sun and Foxwoods a couple times a year, and they have this new way of paying out at slot machines now that my husband hates....no more coins, when you cash out of your machine, you get a slip of paper saying what you won, and you can either take this to the cashier to get your cash, or play at other slot machines with it by inserting it in the machine.

Do you think or have you heard if Vegas is going to be doing this also?? my husband hates the fact that he can't put the coins in the machine himself, he does not like the new ""No COin" decision.

Yep, the slots in Vegas print out the tickets too.

Yep, they haven't had coins in Vegas for quite some time....it's all tickets now.

I can understand why, with most of the video slots now...could you imagine trying to get enough buckets together to carry 50,000 pennies to the cage? :D

it has been years since you could get coin out of a machine at foxwoods or the sun. vegas still has coin out machines scattered about. atlantic city has some in the back of the tropicana. almost all gaming is now "tito" ticket in, ticket out...

What I like about the paper payouts is....they have more penny slots now!! you hardly saw any penny slots before...since noone really wants to cashout 1000's of pennies...LOL

I can see why the casino's are all turning towards the tickets instead of coins. It has to be much simpler for them that way. I am sure it does take some of the fun out of it for the patrons though.

That was a good one winbig. :D

Most of the larger casino properties had changed over to tickets about 3 or 4 years ago. I noticed this on one of my visits to Harrah's in Cherokee, NC about that time.

I do miss the big money coin machines using coins though. I use to put in my free $5 or $10 worth of 50cent or $1 coins in different machines, and sometimes double up or hit something good enough to go cash-in my coinage.

You know, I didn't like it when they went to the tickets either. But now I like it. I always got tired of running around trying to carry a bucket and sometimes if you were lucky, it would be heavy. Also I like the fact that my hands don't smell like coins anymore. I remember playing and my hands would get so dirty. It was almost impossible to get the smell off your hands. Not to mention I would be leery about leaving my machine to try to find a bucket.

Give him some time, he might come around to loving the tickets like I do. :moneystack:
