Ice cream truck shhhhh

:rolleyes: People are complaining a lot about the lovely songs blasting the neighborhoods. Tuesday in Clark County they are going to be considering a curfew on the ice cream trucks.

They are going to look at making it no earier than 10:00 am and no later than7:00 pm or half hour before sunset. If the ordiance passes, ice cream trucks can be fined if they violate the ordiance.

I know how much people need money these days, but.... Sometimes the little songs they play on those trucks, stay with you for a long time. LOL I remember last summer when they came through my area, (every day) I would find myself singing the song for at least an hour after they left my street.

I like the little ice cream trucks that come through my neighborhood.....makes me feel like I'm 11 again when I hear the songs they play.:p

It does sound a little silly to have a curfew on the ice cream trucks but at the same time, little kids don't need to be running out in the street once it starts getting dark outside. So, even though their reasoning is the music, I think it is a good safety decision for the kids.

Those hours don't seem unreasonable to me....those would be the best hours for ice cream anyway....I don't think I have ever seen an ice cream truck run before or after those hours anyway.
