Look at these pictures! This place is beautiful. Have any of you ever been there? It's called Red Rock Canyon National Conservation. It is located about a few miles off the strip but well worth making the trip to see while you are in Vegas I am sure.

There are 3,000 feet high cliffs with dusty wastelands at the bottom which are a part of the Mojave desert.

From some points of the cliffs you can see the entire strip in Las Vegas. What a sight that must be!

I have read that when the temps are extremely hot, you should avoid hiking, climbing and etc. Rangers offer to take you on tours at no charge. You can also drive yourself through the park but there is a small fee for doing this.
