Right now, flights to Vegas are dirt cheap! For instance, I flew to Vegas in November, and the flight cost about $270. Right now, for the beginning of May, I can get a flight from Philadelphia to Vegas for $212!
And, for what it's worth, the best times to go to Vegas (re: Weather) are March through May and again from mid-late September through November. If you travel to Vegas during the Summer (mid-late June through early September), be prepared to expect temperatures in the 100's, 24 hours a day! My first trip to Las Vegas was in July 2007. When I left for the airport to catch my return flight at 4am, it was still 104! Keep in mind that it is a 'dry' heat because of the low humidity, but it still feels like you're walking into an oven.
