The Mirage.

I have always heard that the mirage is one of the nicest places to stay at in Vegas. I think that when I visit I would like to stay there. I am going to check on deals however as I want to spend my money on the slots and not all on my hotel room.

I found this clip. It shows the outside of the hotel and one of the nicest waterfalls or fountains that I have ever seen.

There is a 360 degree view of the town from outside the hotel that has me astounded. I can't wait to get there and check out all of the sites. Has anyone stayed at the Mirage? What did you think of the hotel?

I like the Mirage a lot. I love the lobby - it has a huuuge aquarium with countless fish swimmng about - really fascinating and if you have a wait at checkin, this will make the time pass quickly.

It also has white tigers and is a great place to stroll about. My favorite italian restaurant is there also.

The vulcano goes off in the dark and I hear it's been updated and is just magnificent. I'll have to see the new version...

I love the Mirage. The Aquarium is beautiful. I love watching and taking pictures of the white tigers also. They have a nice big waterfall too , as you walk into the casino.

They also have a zoo type thing, it's like $25 to walk through it...no time limit. It has dolphins, Big Cats (of all sorts), pretty birds, etc. you can watch them feed the dolphins, and there is area you can walk under the water to see the dophins in action.
Really pretty! if you get a room on the side or back of the hotel..you can see the dolphin pools.

I love white tigers they are the most beautiful animals in the world. I will definately remember the camera. Can you bring a video camera into the hotels to film them?

I tend to get dehydrated in Vegas, the air is awfully dry everywhere.

One reason I like to stay at the Mirage is the water oasis they have in the casino. It's just a pond with bridge and rocks and lots of plants, looks pretty, but the best part is that you can stand there for a bit and feel all moisturized.

I think the plants make all the difference here, because I can stand around any number of water features in other Hotels and it doesn't feel the same.

I remember the small zoo area with the different type of birds, lions and tigers. I don't think they had any bear, so I can't throw in "oh my" to that.
And I think I saw some monkies in there too.

The white tigers were lounging in the branches of a tree. It looked uncomfortable to me, but they were sleeping like that, just laying there with their legs dangling.

I also remember coming out of the hot June sun of over 120 degrees and going into this small oasis area just before the casino. It was refreshing to stand on the bridge by the small waterfall to get moisterized and cooled off.

The food at the Mirage is good in any of their restaurants. I had no complaints about wherever I ate in the Mirage. It's all good to excellent.
