Here are some things to go by to save you some dough on your trip to Las Vegas.

First of all, if you can, visit Vegas during the week. Mid-week is best. Hotel rooms and entertainment usually cost three to four times more on the weekends.

Next, get yourself a players card. Go to any casino's club desk and ask to sign up for a players card. They are usually free and then the casino will send you special offers in the mail to use on your next trip. You may even be able to apply for one online. I am not sure about this, maybe someone who knows can post it here if you can.

Be sure to not bet more than you can afford. Set a limit for yourself before you even get there and do not go over it!

Don't be afraid to ask for comps. If you spend your money in their casino many times they will offer you something in return such as show tickets, buffets or discounts for your room. Hey, it never hurts to ask.

Ride the bus place to place in Vegas. This is just about the cheapest form of transportation in the city.

Those are really good thoughts for any casino trip. I always get a players club card. I have got free meals. When we go we also take out and split up money for each day. When it is done, we leave, regardless of how long we were there.

lmao......:D Maybe they were trying to tell you something? Were you wearing sandals w/o socks that day? ;)

One other thing worth noting - I've found that if you fly out on a Saturday, prices are usually cheaper than most of the rest of the week. One other good thing about leaving on a Saturday is that the airport is usually less crowded/busy. :) I guess everyone's where they need to be by then, and the majority won't be returning home until Sunday. :)

For my last trip to Vegas, I caught the latest flight on that Saturday that I could, dropped my bags off with the bell hop @ Bally's, and wandered around all night since my check-in wasn't until that next morning. That's one good thing about Vegas; there's always something to do 24/7 :)
