Last time I was in vegas I had a slots tourney at the Flamingo, I didn't think much was there, until I walked out on the patio...

They have a patio area that is in the middle of the buildings, that is full of exotic birds, including pink flamingo's and beautiful koy fish! it's worth stopping in to see it..and there is no charge for it.

I tell ya...if you put on your walking shoes and just walk around all the hotels, you will see lots and dont' have to spend a penny (just watch out for those slot machines that yell at you "play me" .. lol)

Thanks for the information. I love playing the slots, but I do get tired of them after losing for awhile, lol. It will be fun to go walking and exploring when I do get to go to Vegas.

I had no idea - I have never been inside the Flamingo. I will have to check it out. What other birds are there?

yes it really surprized us too.
oh man you would ask me that....LOL i dont' know the names....this is one, they had swans, both black and white.......

I will dig out some more pics to show

Looks like lots of waterfowl and some land birds. That would be a nice change in vegas - they don't exactly tend to live in the desert, lol!

WOW!

I have been to the Flamingo - looked around a little (just around the big double doors) and never knew there was THAT inside!


Your right though - you never know whats going to happen there at any given moment. Was walking down the strip one afternoon and some of the Cirque du Soleil people were skating down the strip with big flags and handing out discounts to the show.


Now I got to go see all the birds! :p

it's not really noticable....when i had the tourney...i had to go back to back of casino, near the buffet area....and there were doors that lead out to patio...it's like a court yard...circled by their buildings...quite nice...there was even a landmark where some mob guy was shot long ago...LOL
