Vegas the Dream.

Can you imagine the dream that was had before Vegas came to be. Someone somewhere had the vision to see a city of greatness in the middle of the desert.

A dream like that often goes to nowhere. Most of us just dream our dreams and forget them. I am like that but I do dream of spending some time in Las Vegas someday.

Driving across the bridge and seeing the strip lit up at night is like a waking dream. It was one of the most beautiful things that I have ever seen. I love hearing about how people did while they were out there gambling.. I also love the pictures of all of the different things there are to see. It just makes me want to go even more.

Las Vegas has a really interesting history. For instance, in 1855 the mormons built a fort there. They used to travel from Salt Lake to Los Angeles to gather supplies. Las Vegas was mid way.

Gambling was illegal until 1931. In 1945 the casinos started sprouting up.

I bet the Mormons never dreamt what their fort would turn into....

I would love to visit Vegas one day. I live in Ohio so I am sure Vegas would be like a whole different world to me! One of these days.......
