Here are a few travel tips, that are helpful when visiting Las Vegas.
Pack accordingly, Las Vegas is hot in summer, cool in winter and of course warm in the spring and fall seasons.
Using luggage that has wheels will make transporting it around much easier and faster for you.
Pack ahead of time, as this will reduce the chance of you forgetting something you may need. Also as your packing your bags make a list of each item you put into the bag. Especially for checked bags, this way if something should happen to your luggage you will have an easier time making a claim.
If wrinkling of your clothes is something you dont want to deal with, consider rolling your clothes in newspaper, rather than folding them. This helps to reduce wrinkling.
Pack two pair of shoes. A pair of dress shoes and of course a pair of sneakers. Everyone does alot of walking in Las Vegas so make sure that both pair of shoes are comfortable to walk distances in.
Take a light jacket. It tends to get cool after dark, not to mention that air conditioning in many places can be quite chilly.
Due to the searing sun in Las Vegas it is recommended that you bring or purchase there sun glasses, as well as Chapstick and Sunscreen. Sunscreen is rated by the SPF (sun protection Factor). The higher the SPF the longer you will be able to be in the sun with out burning. Many recommend an SPF of at least 30.
The purchase of travel size health and beauty aids as well as cosmetics is also a good idea, as this will save you alot of space. Place these things inside leak proof bags or unbreakable containers to protect your clothing should something break or leak.
Another recommendation is to pack a small first aid kit, which should simply contain some asprin, adhesive bandages, moisisturizer and even dramamine if you get air sick or its your first flight.
Your cell phone and charger is also a must have for your Vegas trip.
Make sure that you are using large enough luggage. Chances are that you will be bringing a few souvenirs back with you. Plus you may want to toss in a couple plastic bags to hold wet or dirty clothing in as well.
Purchasing a money belt is a great idea to help protect yourself in Las Vegas.
Also never leave your luggage unattended. If you must move just a short distance be sure to drag your luggage with you.
Lost luggage does happen though 98% of the time owners get their luggage back. Though for luggage to be lost there is a waiting period of one week. So make sure that you get a claim check for each bag you check and keep it til your bags have been returned to you.
These are just some travel tips to help you prepare for your trip to Las Vegas. I hope that you will find them useful, and that you have a wonderful and safe trip!!
