The thought that gambling as a whole would not change no matter how bad things get seems to have been way off base. Nevada itself has seen a 22 percent drop in revenue this year. This is not good for the companies that own the casinos where the money should be coming in.
I myself haven't let it stop me from gambling. If I get the notion to purchase a ticket or take a trip to the casino I just do it. I do however make sure that the money that I am spending isn't needed for bills or groceries.
Being responsible and working a little harder will allow you to get in a game or two occasionally. I put money aside and save it up for trips and just for fun things.
