There are really some great travel tips, tricks and ideas that everyone has posted here.

Though two things I also see alot of are that when you check into your room you should request a mini fridge as well as a humidifier for your room. I have to as why these two things are needed in a room.

I always figured an ice bucket and air conditioning would be enough for any room reguardless of where you are.

Can anyone explain why these two things are a must have when your visiting Las Vegas??

This way I will know just why I am requesting these things when I make my first trip there.

I really rather not make a complete fool out of myself while I am there, at least not around others that I personally know, ROFL.

I have never been to Las Vegas myself but I would think that the mini fridge would be so that you can grab some food items and store them in the fridge such as lunch meat and so on. That way, you don't always have to eat out which can really add up. I assume that the humidifier would be because the air is so dry in Las Vegas. Vegas sits in the desert which of course is really dry.

Just a guess, its all I can figure.

You are right on both there vegasrocks!! The air there is really dry if you are not from a dry climate. Take lotion with you too, the air will dry your skin out.

Thats what I have been told. I have been told also to stock the mini fridge with bottled water so that you have plenty to drink because you constantly feel dried out, especially in the summer months.

You really don't need to put the water in the fridge, unless you like cold water.
My wife is one who likes chilled water, but with my military background I've learned to drink water at room temperature.
It's easier on the body to drink water the same temperature as you're in.

Unless it's over 90 degrees, then you can get away with drinking water at 75 or 80 degrees.
As long as you feed the body water during hot weather, and cold weather too.:D

We normally use our mini-fridge for food stuff. (But the wife will still find a way to put in her water bottle)

When we go away, we always like to have a mini fridge. My husband is a diabetic and it is alot easier to keep the insulin cold using a fridge. With the air so dry there you would probably feel better using an humidifier.
