My sweeties brother and some friends this past weekend decided to head out to Las Vegas for a few weeks of some fun.

Well because they decided this on Thursday and planned on leaving Friday morning and drive all the way there. Well this is a fine idea if your not going to be there long, but they are going to stay for a couple of weeks.

Well about three days later after they had left on their trip, we get a phone call from his brother. His brother forgot to grab enough clothes, he also forgot to set his security system on the house, someone to feed the animals, and of course he also forgot to tell his boss that he was taking a vacation.

Because he forgot all of this it was up to me and his brother to take care of everything for him. Thankfully I can easily feed and water the animals for him, as they all like me but hate my sweetie (why I dont know they just do,LOL). Of course the security system is now set and thankfully he is part owner in a family owned business, so getting the vacation time isnt much of a problem unless he decides never to return, LOL. As for the clothes we did send him some money to purchase enough to get him through his trip. He owes us both big time when he gets back,LOL.

Any way my suggestion to everyone is that you dont just jump into a vacation like this, it can really cause you to run into some serious problems.

I know what you're talking about queen of hearts.

My wife spends nearly a week preparing to go out of town, or actually out of state for that matter.

Camping or going to the next state usually only takes a day of preparation, but leaving to Vegas or out of the country takes at least 2 to 3 days to prepare.

You have to think of everything before leaving;
Do you have enough money?
If you have animals, is there someone who can feed them while you are gone?
Did you pack enough clothes?
Is the home security set, and is there someone who can stop by and check your home when you're gone?
What are your plans when you get there?
If you go through the airport, do you have all the necessary papers to go through security there?

That's not all of the list that I can think of off the top of my head, but a general idea of what to think of before leaving on a journey.
