$5 blackjack in Vegas.
If you are going to be in Las Vegas and are looking for $5 blackjack, one of the contributing factors in finding them is dependant on whether you are there during the week or on the weekend.
Finding $5 blackjack on the weekend can be hard to do, and you might have to settle for low roller, but the best places to look would be at the Riviera, Sahara, Frontier, or Circus Circus.
The best places to look other than these would be downtown Las Vegas.
During the week, you shouldnt have much problem finding the $5 blackjack tables.

Re: $5 blackjack in Vegas.
Bill's Gamblin' Hall & Saloon has $5 everything all the time.
I love playing there on the weekend $5 Craps and BJ. Now I'm not saying they have a lot of tables upon but usually 2 BJ and 2 Craps on the weekends.

The same goes for O'Sheas, and I think the Flamingo has $5 tables a lot of the time, too..

Re: $5 blackjack in Vegas.
This may seem pretty silly to you but here goes anyway. What is the normal rate for blackjack? More expensive I am guessing??? As you can tell, I don't know the first thing about blackjack lol.

Re: $5 blackjack in Vegas.
I'm not real heavy into blackjack also, but I think most of the table buy-ins start at around $20 a hand and they go up from there.
I think winbig knows a bit more about the price ranges for most blackjack tables, he seems to have played blackjack quite a bit from what I've read here on the forum.

Nah, you can find $10 tables on the strip most all of the time...at the very least you'll find many $15 tables...then it jumps to $25+..

Re: $5 blackjack in Vegas.
Thanks for clearing that up for me winbig.
I knew there were either $15 or $20 tables, so I just went with the larger number just in case 15 was too small.
I've seen a lot of them at $50, so I just pass them by as I look for the $5 tables.
I see you did mention above where several $5 tables can be found. Will have to check those out on my next visit.
I usually play the blackjack tables at Bill's and the poker tables at O'Sheas.
In-between those it's usually the slots.

Re: $5 blackjack in Vegas.
Aahhh I see, so it is normally a bit higher. Why is that? Why don't they offer it cheaper more often?

simple answer is they dont have to. in better financial times you could not find under 25 min at any of the larger strip hotels on weekends. they all advertise smaller limits but would have maybe one or two packed tables. the higher end places were almost all 50 on weekends. 10 dollar limits during the week going up to 25 at night. they are catering to tourists who are there to throw money away not to grind out a profit. that is why the slot payouts are lower on the strip. blackjack pays 6/5 instead of 3/2 and there is almost no full pay video poker. now local casinos have to offer better play or they would go under since the locals are their bread and butter. you wont find any locals or real gamblers on the strip. the only places you will find real gamblers on the strip is the poker rooms. pros and teams sitting there cleaning out the tourists. its fun to watch...
