How about the winning end of playing Black Jack? Do you win quite often? What is the largest amount youve ever won? Give us some details here and maybe it will pique my interest enough to get me interested in the game.

Ive played Black Jack on the machines but never at a live table. What are the advantages to table play versus machine play?

I will start with the simple facts and advantages of live blackjack play...

When you play online blackjack you cannot talk face-to-face with the other players, so there's not much help if you need to ask for it.

Most live blackjack tables, where you can sit and talk to the other players, has the advantage of being able to get hints from other players if the Dealer allows it, which most of the time he or she will.

Reading about how to play blackjack really helps, before you decide to sit down and play at a live table.

Online blackjack is also great place to learn the game before you play live blackjack, because you can play it free online.

A friend and avid blackjack player of years back once told me, don't sit down at a blackjack table when there are less than three players, the Dealer may win most of the hands.

Sit in seats 1, 3, or 5, depending on how many players are at the table. Seat 1 is usually the best seat to sit in (that's the seat to the Dealer's left).

Try to sit at a Blackjack table that has only one deck, single-deck Blackjack, your odds are better and you can keep track of the high and low cards that show.

Blackjack players can really win a lot if they concentrate on the game, as long as they don't count the cards, because that's a big no-no in casinos.

If you play enough live single-deck blackjack at one table, you will learn when to raise your antes and when not to bet (almost like counting cards, but it's more like a gut feeling when you're not counting them).

I've watched a friend play blackjack once, he didn't know I was watching, and I swear he was counting cards.
He would play a couple hands and win big, then sit out one or two before betting on the next hand.
I asked him if he won his $1,000+ by counting the cards and he told me he did not (but I know better ).

I could go on and on, but I don't want this to be a book. Hope it helped some.

It sure did and thank you so much for the additional information.

I may try blackjack at a table when I go to the casino again. If I can work up the nerve to do it and I will keep in mind all the tips you have given us.

But, you still didnt say how well you do at the game personally. Details, we need details. lol

On average, I usually walk away from a blackjack table with half the money I sat down with.

But that's because I don't really play blackjack to win. To me playing blackjack all about having fun, being around people and getting those free drinks.

When I do sit down and play blackjack to win, I will usually double my money and then walk away (and go play some slots ).
