Blackjack Switch

I had not seen this last time I was in Vegas. They had it at Bill's Gamblin' Hall & Saloon right beside Bally's. (Big Elvis there too - good show - but I digress

)

You play two hands of blackjack and can switch the last two cards you get. Regular rules apply for splitting, doubling down, etc. if you switch.

House advantage: Dealer pushes on 22 and BJ only pays 1:1.

I didn't see it anywhere else but didn't vary casinos much this trip. It was a fun time and made a little money to boot!

Anyone else play this or seen it elsewhere?

Never seen that - you think that ends up in your favor with the different dealer rules?

Probably evens out the odds for the house

I have looked around and seen that the game rules vary from casino to casino but the house still only has a marginal .4 to .6 percent edge if you use standard blackjack strategy.

Not too bad.

looks like fun...but would cost ya lots to play...that is alot of betting on one hand...or should i say 2. but I wanna try it next time I am there. I loved Bill's too, really fun place to play even if you lose.

Actually, this game isn't as bad as I thought...as long as you don't play it at casinos within the Harrah's group...(Bills, Bally's, Caesars, Harrah's, Paris, Flamingo, Rio and Imperial Palace)

Keep in mind that as VegasLover mentioned, Blackjack pays even money (instead of 3:2 or even 6:5), and a dealer 22 counts as a push instead of a win for the player...

The side bet has a house advantage of 2.55%, which isn't too bad.

When I was in Vegas a month ago, I played both Blackjack and blackjack switch, and I have to say I had more fun playing the switch than I did the regualr blackjack. I lost my money faster, but I atleast enjoyed it more. LOL
