How to be a winner
Blackjack is my favorite game, very easy to play, and always fun to play here are some simple ways to be a winner:
1.Find out the rules for the dealer.
2.Hit if the total of your two cards is 9 or below and stand if the total of your two cards is a hard 17 or higher. This is usually correct.
3.Stand when your total is 12 to 16 and the dealer's up card is 6 or smaller.
4.Double your bet and take just one more card, also known as a double down, if your total is 10 or 11.
5.Know how to play your soft hands. If you have a soft 17 or lower choose to hit.
6.Split your cards, which means to split pairs apart and play them as two separate hands, if you have a pair and the dealer's up card is less than 6. Always split aces and 8s, regardless of the dealer's up card. Never split pairs of 4s, 5s or 10s.

Re: How to be a winner
Blackjack is a fun, interesting and entertaining game. Below are a few points which one should know before embarking his or her path to the casino or before playing blackjack game online in order to emerge out as a winner.
# Learn and make sure you remember all the information about the basic strategies of playing blackjack. You shall never commit mathematical errors.
# Before you start playing blackjack reserve funds and make sure to sit at the tables having the right bets so that you do not lose your money on high stakes.
# It is advisable that you never bet more than 5% of your available funds. It may happen that you are on a losing streak and the chips are not sufficient to recover those losses.

Re: How to be a winner
The biggest tip I can give any new blackjack player is once you learn the rules and how the game is played, search online for a basic strategy chart. Print it out and bring it with you to the casino. It is not against the rules to have it. Don't be embarrassed to use it. Slowly try to memorize it, but if you're unsure check to see the proper play using your chart.
NEVER deviate from it. It is the mathematically correct play to make for each situation. If you start using your "gut feeling" or intuition, you might as well just hand the casino your money. Mathematics beats luck every time.

Re: How to be a winner
The only time I use my gut feeling, so to speak, is when I'm playing at a 1-deck blackjack table.
I know there are some players who know how to count cards at these tables, and I probably could too, but I just like to have a good time and enjoy a few rounds of drinks during my blackjack games.
It may be my subconcious mind that tells me when to hit or skip a card, but most of the time I will get it right by going by that feeling.
Yeah I know, using a blackjack chart is the best way to go, but I usually don't play blackjack for the money. I just like to play for a good time while visiting the Las Vegas tables.

If having a good time is your main objective, then ignore my tips. For those that are focused on winning, or at least have winning as an objective, use basic strategy and stick to it.
Everybody goes to casinos for different reasons and your all about having a good time which is the most enjoyable reason to go to a casino.

Re: How to be a winner
Going to the casino for fun is my main objective, and with my luck, its the absolute best reason to go because I just dont win much at all.
I dont go to the casino with the thoughts that I am going to win and that way when I dont, Im not let down. lol

Re: How to be a winner
I know what happens when people get too serious about winning from a casino; they either win a lot or lose everthing, and usually the latter.
IluvVegas, those are the thoughts I go into a casino with, try to have fun. And if I hit a jackpot... Yee Haw!!!
