Default New Sponsor

The WSOP has a new sponsor. It is Jack Link's Beef Jerky. Jeff LeFever, the director of marketing said the game of poker is sharing good times with friends. He said they are a lot alike.

Jack Link's has a multi-year deal that begins on May 26, 2009 at the 40th Annual WSOP in Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino.

Jack Link's is the #1 brand of beef jerky. It is almost a $3 billion a year meat snack. They offer more than 100 met snacks in more than 40 countries.

Ty Stewart is the vice president of WSOP said he is happy they have a sponsor that fits into their culture.

Jack Link's will be very visible in the tournament. They will be on the poker tables, the new Wild Card Café, and signs all over. They will also do a lot of advertising on WSOP on ESPN. They will also be selling their products in the kitchen and throughout Rio.

It's good to know who sponsors the WSOP.
I wonder how long it will be before the larger companies will sponsor the WSOP? Like Budweiser, Coke and others.

If I remember correctly, the poker player numbers were down last year as compared to the 2007 WSOP.

I'm wondering if the numbers will drop again this year too.

I think the players will be up this year!! Poker has been ruled a game of skill! And it does take a lot of skill to play poker. If you don;t think so watch one live and you will see what I mean.

I'm sure Daniel will get over it, but I bet he'll mention something during his poker play. Not sure if they will film it though.

I've never tried Jack's before. What are they like 1819?

The last time I tried any kind of jerky was on a camping trip some 5 years ago. My wife bought it, so I don't know what kind it was.

Trail mix and jerky are good to bring along when your hiking on the trails for a few hours.

the best. hands down. tons of flavors. can be very expensive. wallmart has it for about 3 bucks a pouch. everywhere else is 5 or 6. buying by the case works out to about 2 bucks a bag. easily eat 5 bags a day if you dont watch yourself. about 10 years worth of sodium right there....

Jack Links is really good. I also think that it is the perfect snack for a poker game.

No fuss, no mess only the wrapper. I am glad to see them supporting poker.

Now I don't think I could use a case of it. Lol We usually have plenty after deer season. We have a portion made into sausage and jerky, yummy.

Wow, that's a lot of sodium. I've got to watch my salt intake at my age.

I will try them out the next time I see Jacks Jerky at Wal Mart.

I wonder if they have the long round Jerky too?
That's my favorite kind of jerky, when it's small and chewy.

The hard flat jerky is ok when you need something to last a while though.
