Default Poker etiquette

Playing table poker is a whole nother ball game and there are things you should and shouldnt do when playing against other players. Here are a few tips that will help any newbie who wants to try their hand at a regular poker game in a casino.

When you first decide to join a poker game, be sure to verify the game and the table limits right off. Making sure of the game is very important but even more important is to be sure of the table limits for that game.

Be sure to bet, raise, check or fold on your turn, being sure never to bet out of turn. This could turn all of the other players against you and make the game a very unfriendly one.

You have to understand how the game is played, be sure to pay attention to what is going on in the game, and above all avoid making mistakes.

If in doubt, watch for a while to see how everything proceeds if you are a newbie to casino poker. Being sure not to make any waves or cause any disturbances while you are watching.

Following the etiquette will make for a much friendlier game.

Default Re: Poker etiquette

Isn't that the truth, about not making mistakes during a live table poker game.
It only takes one small move, like throwing in your ante before it is your turn, and then everyone at the table looks at you like you had boils or some other nasty disease.

After making one mistake like that, apologize to everyone, be quiet for a while and play smart. Most everyone will forget about it in time.
