Default WSOP Dealers

The dealer at the WSOP makes some money as well. Before the game begins, they start out in January to pick out 850 dealers. They have about 300 tables going at a time.

Dealers only make a mere $6.85 an hour for working at the WSOP. But... don’t let that fool you, they also make an extra few hundred dollars a day by splitting up the tips and they also get a percentage of the players fees.

Only the best dealers are picked to deal at the final table in November. The dealers will deal up to 500 hands per day. That’s a lot of games.

Sometimes the dealers will make some small mistakes as well with all those hands being dealt. But nothing that can’t be fixed.

I haven't seen too many mistakes made by dealers.

That's a good deal for the dealers to get a little extra for their time at the tables. I bet it can get boring at times, just standing there and dealing.

I guess it's more than just dealing as a dealer too. You have to make sure nobody cheats at the table, or makes a miss-call or wrong call while betting.

And you can sit there and try to guess what the players have, and learn how to play poker too while being a dealer.

The best way I like to see a shuffle of the cards in a poker game, is when they are spread out on the table and mixed up.
Or, if they are thoroughly shuffled together at least three times and then split, in case a player sees the bottom card.

I'll bet some of those tables are any thing but boring and some are a pain the ARSE.

They earn everything they get in my book. Can you imagine having like Mike Matusow, Phil Hellmuth and Scotty Nguyen all at the same table - OMG!

ROFLMAO!

I could image that scene, with all of them at the same table.

I would love to play poker with those guys, but would probably fold most of my hands just to watch their reactions.
