Default Types Of Wagers At Craps

1.Line bets, its when the shooter is required to make either a Pass Line bet or a Don't Pass bet if he wants to shoot.

2.Single roll bets, is when single-roll bets or proposition bets are resolved in one dice roll by the shooter.

3.Multi roll bets, these are bets that may not be settled on the first roll and may need any number of subsequent rolls before an outcome is determined.

4.Player bets, the shooter begins, some casinos will allow a bet known as a fire bet to be placed.

For new players , the only bets you should be making is place bets, do not make any bets that the stickman is calling out, just look at the odds they are going to pay and you should see why you should not make them. The only time you should have a passline bet is when you have the dice. You are then paying rent to shoot the dice, then you need a pass-line bet, and you should take odds if you roll a 6 or 8. The 7 have the best odds of being rolled, then the 6 and 8. Next comes the 5 and 9, then the 4 and 10.

To place a bet on any of the points you see at the top in the little boxes 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10 place your money down on the table and ask the dealer standing behind the table on your end of the table, place the 5 please, he will then take your money and put it in the box for the 5. Just look at where he put you money, that is where he will put your money if you make any more bets on a different point say the six, it will go in the six box right where your for your five bet was put by the dealer. All your bets will be put in the same location of each box when you make a bet on a different point number!

You should only have one or two bets at a time, think for one moment if you lose your bets then you have to be paid off with winning bets that amount of times to get back to even. Most players will never get over 7 or 8 rolls of the dice, so bet accordingly.

You will see players bet every number across the top 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10 don’t do it. Why you ask because you must have the shooter hit at lease five of those six numbers before you start winning any money, and if the shooters does seven out without hitting any of them you now have to get six wins to get your money back, it does happen all the time so stay away for betting like that!

The six and eight will pay you 7 to 6
The five and nine will pay you 7 to 5
The four and ten will pay you 9 to 5

I hope this helps you out, but if I was you I would buy a good book on the game before I ever put money on the table. You can buy anything on-line any more the first book I would buy is one by John Patrick’s he writes well-rounded books on gaming, that should help to keep you out of trouble and just might put some money in your pocket.

Have fun and set a lost limit, if you bought in for $100 and you won $100 or more think about seeing you self to the door, you made money and had fun. Do your self a big favor, if you are winning put your buy-in back in your pocket along with some of the money that you already won and do not take it back out of your pocket. It’s more fun to walk away a winner, the longer you stay at the table the more of a chance the casino will win you money back!

Super Rick, You are right on the money. Most books want to put your money on the pass line with odds. Guess what? If you roll a 5,9,4,or 10 you can make 6 rolls and not win a thing. My system wins on every roll of the dice. My beleif is if you want to win at craps you make money on every roll.everyone forgets that the money on the table is lost. You have to make more money then what's on the table. Good luck to all you craps players. It's a fun game!

Good advice on craps. Thanks guys.

I remember watching a friend of mine playing craps at one of the Las Vegas casinos a few years ago, and he had the system down pretty good on his second day of playing.

I'm sure he had someone tutor him at first so he could get started playing craps, but he made out like a bandit the last time I watched him play; like some $3grand in winnings.

He liked playing the numbers between the rolls, like what Super Rick mentioned. And as long as there was a good dice thrower, my friend would rack-up his $100 chips in a hurry.

Before he got a marker for his chips; he told me he was going to fill all his chip rows with $100 chips before he quit (and I think that's what he did, or pretty damn close to it).

So I'm thinking that playing the numbers in craps is the way to go.
