Default Completely Lost at Roulette

I don't know a single thing about roulette. I have played tons and tons of different games in my lifetime so far but this hasn't been one of them.

To be honest, I have never even seen roulette whatsoever in person, just on the television! LOL I must live a sheltered life I guess. Need to get out more lol!

Can anyone here give me some basic rules and strategy for a beginner? Also, is there any place online to play that is good for beginner's? That would be great for me. I think it would be easier to learn while here at home than in a busy casino.

Please let me know if you all have any info for me, Thanks!

I wish I could help you, but roulette is one of those games that seem to be completely luck. Either you have it or you don't.

I'm like you, I've only played online - for free - I wouldn't want to lose my money that fast in a casino

I have a little story about roulette.

When I first started driving truck while team driving over the road, from CA to the east coast, we would come down I 80 eastbound and right through Reno on almost every trip.

My second team partner and I would stop at the first gambling hall in Verdi, Nevada, with truck parking and fuel.
I ended up dropping a 20 there and lost it at slots on this particular trip.

My partner went over to the roulette wheel, bought $100 in chips and placed them on several spots. One of his numbers hit and he got paid. He did this several times and in about 10 minutes he doubled his money and walked away.

I told him I should have gave him my weekly allowance and doubled it for me too.
He gave a brief expanation of how the game worked, but I didn't pay much attention as I was watching him win on every spin. That was exciting to me.

People make tons of money selling so-called Roulette strategies.

They don't work or the game would long have been removed from casinos, lol.

It's a very simple game. You can practice here, it's a very short, light download: http://www.gamesandcasino.com/casino...h-roulette.htm

BTW as US citizen you can't play for real there, you can only play for fun, so ignore the invitation to play for real.

Roullette is one of the easiest games.

This is a good way to play:

Pick your favorite number and put a chip on it.

To make it more likely to win, look and see if it is odd or even, and put a chip on that. See if it's on a red or black square, and put a chip on that. That's a good basic bet.

If you want to bet higher, then see which half of the board your number is on and put a chip on that selection. Then you can bet on the third of the board it's on, and the specific collumn it's on. If you still want to bet more, bet on the other numbers in that collumn that are either red or black or odd or even - depending on your original number.

Now you are done.

You win something if your color comes up, or odd/even, or any of the areas on the table you chose, and if your number comes up you win really big. If it doesn't, chances are you will win much of your money back anyway and can have another go.

Thats a way to play to play and stretch your money. Go ahead and try it at the above place, it's totally free and once you play a few rounds you'll get it.

Thanks Dom, I'll go give it a try. I honestly thought that roulette was just a game that you either were lucky enough to win, or unlucky enough to lose and that was that, at least I know now that there is something to do that can help the odds a bit.
