2.Numbers become due as more spins go by without hitting. So you will do best by letting the cycle mature.

3.Implication the even chance of winning makes it a fair bet.

The most common superstition while Gambling is, blowing on the set of dice, before rolling them on to the table. This is a very common myth amongst the players ,that they can actually give an extra luck to their game by following such practices, which have long been associated with gambling. Though every gambler usually has his own set of superstitious beliefs, you can find quite a few common set of beliefs that many players have adopted, at one time or another.

Crossing one's fingers, Carrying a personal charm, Wearing a item of clothing, Carrying a horseshoe, and making use of Red color in anything related to the game. These are all examples of different things that people do for luck when gambling.

Most of us, in our daily routines, especially the players or gamblers, when in the middle of a crucial game, we all have at one time, given way to the occasional superstitious belief, at one stage or another. But when it comes to the playing any game, a player concentrates and believes more on his skills, practice and knowledge rather than practicing foolish and superstitious beliefs.

Ive never been superstitious about gambling. I have always believed that if Im gonna win, it wont take any little charm or certain way of playing to do so.

Bingo is another game with superstitions.

So, I guess I just go gambling as a way to relax, spend a certain amount of money and come home. If I won great, and if I didnt, oh well, at least I got out for a while.

Most of us perform our little superstitious behaviors without even thinking about it or realizing that we are doing it. If you asked me, I'd tell you that I am not a supersticious person. But I can clearly recall knocking on wood when my co-worker said something to me earlier today lol.

Some people really have no superstitions but I think most of us tend to have a few that we don't even realize.

Myth 1: All Roulette Wheels are the same - The first roulette myth is that all roulette wheels are the same but they are not.
Myth 2: Each spin of the roulette wheel is not random - In this myth the history of previous spins has an affect on the outcome of the next spin.
Myth 3: You can beat roulette with a mathematical system - This leads on from myth 2 and sees many people buying mathematical systems to beat roulette consistently.

I'm no roulette player, but I think every spin of the wheel is different that the previous, even if it drops on the same number.
The wheel and the ball are free-flowing in opposite directions.
The only cheat or edge I could think of in roulette, is when the operator can spin the wheel at the same speed each time and spin the ball at the precise moment with the same force each time.

Now talking about myths...I think most myths are passed down from parents or adults to children/younger people.

Knocking on wood I picked up either from my mother or from school.
As well as in school; the famed "koodies" that a boy or girl thinks they get for touching the other (usually a kiss on the cheek thing).

Finding a penny heads up, pick it up for good luck. I do that too. I usually find another penny or coin that day or the next time I'm out walking. So it could be a true myth in that perspective.

Default Re: Myths

With the increased popularity of the game, the popularity of myths attached to it have also increased and the players believe that these myths play a major role in their winning or loosing a game. Some of the popular myths are-
1.All the Roulette wheels are identical - Believe me they are not. Among American and European roulette chances of winning on European roulette are more.
2.Roulette is not random - But it is random. If the ball is facing red for a long time then on the next turn it doesn't mean that it will surely face black, chances are still 50-50.
3.Roulette can be won by Mathematical system – Its nothing like that, you can't win by following any mathematical system in roulette because the roulette wheel doesn’t have any record of previous bets.
4.Online Roulette is easy money – But it is not. It is same hard as it is on land based casinos.
