Red- This is when you bet that the next number coming up will be red. The payoff on this one is 1 to 1. Or even money. You place your chip on the box marked Red on the outside of the layout for betting.

Black- This is when you bet that the next number to come up will be black. The payoff for this one is also 1 to 1. You place your chip on the outside of the layout in the box marked black.

Even- This is when you bet that the next number to come up will be an even number. The payoff for this one is also 1 to 1. Even money again. You place your chip on the outside of the layout in the box marked EVEN.

Odd- This is when you bet that the next number to come up will be odd. This also pays even money and you place your chip in the box marked ODD on the outside of the layout.

Low Bet- This is when you bet that the next number to come out will be between 1 and 18. This is also an even money bet. You place your chip on the outsid of the layout in the box marked Low.

High Bet- This is when you bet that the next number to come out will be a number between 19 and 36. This bet also pays even money. You place your chip on the outside of the layout in the box marked HIGH.

Column Bet- This is when you bet that a number in a certain column of 12 numbers will come out. The payoff on this on is 2 to 1. You put your chip in the box 2 to 1 below the column you pick.

Dozen Bet- You are betting here that a number from a certain group of 12 numbers will come out. Your choices are 1-12, 13-24, and 25-36. This bet pays 2 to 1 also, and you place your chip according to which dozen numbers you have chosen. For instance, if you pick 25- 36, you place your chip in the box marked 3rd 12.

I have played online roulette before and I seem to do better if I use the outside bets. If I just choose a number I just don't seem to win at all. I am not sure about how to bet to make any real money however. I never seem to win more than a couple of bucks. But hey I had fun trying and eventually I might learn something about the game.

Roulette has many bets in it. These bets are separated in two groups i.e. inside bests and outside bets. These both are the bets made in the roulette game. I am not explaining in detail over here as it is already explained very well. Just mentioning the difference between the two.
In inside bets you place the bet on individual numbers or a small group of numbers, while in outside bets you place the bet on the large group of numbers. Inside bets has higher payouts than outside bets because of having higher odds.
