Default Trying everything to win.

Over the centuries people have tried everything known to man to beat the odds when playing roulette.

Thomas Bass wrote a book called,The Eudaemonic Pie. In this book he details how some computer hackers tried to predict where the ball would fall. They had computers in their shoes.

Albert Einstien once said,"You cannot beat a roulette table unless you steal money from it."

Casinos spend quite a bit of time caring for their roulette wheels. They have them balanced and realigned to keep them as random as possible.

It would be nice to be able to know where the ball will fall but you know that would just take all the fun out of it.

Roulette is diffinately a game of chance! No one knows where that little ball will stop at. I for one has never seen what anyone gets out of playing it, but to each his own I guess..lol

This may be a late response and I've probably mentioned this story once before about roulette, but a truck driving partner of mine years ago use to drop a 20 at the roulette table each time we stopped at this certain gambling hall in Nevada.

I would always try the slot machines and come up with nothing, this guy would walk up to the roulette table and double his money in just five minutes and then walk away.

I guess this was his game to play, but only as a spur of the moment thing.
He didn't spend much time at gambling, or he may have known the roulette wheel person too.
I will never know how he did it.

I've tried this approach over the last 6 months and it's worked about 75% of the time.

Try betting on the outside for a change of pace.

I typically bet a red/black AND odd/even with the minimum allowed. I'll start with $100.00 on a $5 min table. This approach gives me a push around 60-70% of the time. Be sure to mix up your selection and don't stick with a single combination such as red/even. Over time your stack will gradually increase to double your investment.

At this point a decision has to be made. Quit now or continue to play. I typically like to continue to play but I will take out my initial $100.00 and pocket it. At this point I'll double my bets. I've found out that the winning comes in waves so be carefull not to bet too agressively.

This approach to Roulette is Very time consumming, but if you are into comps this has turned me from a Gold member to that of a Diamond member in just over three months of play. With just a $100.00 investment.

On my last play at the Grand Casino I started playing with just $100.00. In just over 6 hours I was able to collect just over $1500.00. As I said this approach is very time consumming but the rewards in comps and cash are very rewarding.

When I got to $700 I started to play with Black chips ($100 each). Hey it's the casino's money. With just these two chips in play I was able to play for over 2 hours and gained another $800.00 before wave started its decline. Typically you'll see many people come and go. Lay down hundreds and try to play the numbers but only watch them leave broke as you are still playing with a decent chip stack.

Let me know if this works for you.

Thanks for posting this.

I am a big skeptic of winning strategies. I think one can have winning streaks - but if one doesn't know when to quit, the house will win it all back.

That said, your bets are a lot more sound than a lot that I've heard about...

Good luck!

This is true about a lot of strategies I think, where someone has an idea of how to win money the easy way, may have been a winning streak.

But as you mentioned dominique, this may be a sound way to win at roulette.
And what works for one person, however time consuming it may be, may work for another too.

I will keep that betting strategy in mind if I ever decide to play roulette.

This reminds me of the way you would start playing craps too.
Start on the pass bet, and then when your money is built up start betting the odds on the table.
