Binions has hosted the WSOP for the last 34 years, but it has announced that it will be closing its hotel rooms, keno rooms, and coffee shop in order to save money.

"It's the downturn," said Lisa Robinson, spokeswoman for TLC Casino Enterprises Inc., owner of the 58-year-old Binion's Gambling Hall & Hotel. "We had to make some difficult decisions in order to keep the rest of the property operational."

All hotel rooms will close on December 14th, but the Binions Ranch Steakhouse will remain open as will the Poker Room and Sports Book.
All of this will lead to the layoff of around 100 of Binions 800 employees.
