Casinos Plunge in January

According to the Las Vegas Sun winnings on the Vegas Strip 14.7 % in January. This was said to have been the fourth month in a row of declines.

This shows just how bad the economy is hitting everywhere. According to the Sun the decline started last year and continues.

There has to have been a significant drop in the amount of patrons visiting the casinos in Vegas with how bad the economy has been which would account for the drop in winnings. I have also heard though that some of the casinos have been changing the machines settings for when they will hit. I don't know if this is true though.

If i ran a casino right now, and was going to change the machines in anyway it would be to make them looser, as to draw in those who love to gamble and would like to give it a try to win some needed cash. having nothing but losers, will not draw in any business.
