The first thing I thought of when I read the title of this thread, was, "Oh no, not again."
I read about the first fire that happened in 1980 when MGM use to own the now Bally's property.
And with my first stay at Bally's several years ago that was one thing that was on my mind.
Las Vegas hotel casinos have come a long way since then. And after reading the "Bally's Fire" article you will know why; their automated sprinkler system put out the fire.
I'm just glad nobody got hurt and the damage was minimal. The Monte Carlo hotel wasn't that lucky with their roof fire two or three years ago.
It's good to know the Las Vegas Fire Department is one of the best on tall structure fires. Kudos to the Las Vegas Firemen.
