Former Gov. Guinn Died Yesterday

Nevada's former Governor, Kenny Guinn died Thursday morning after suffering from what the doctors believe was a heart attack which caused him to fall of a roof. He was 73 years old.

Former Gov. Kenny Guinn, who served during Nevada’s most explosive growth, leading with a pragmatic streak and fierce determination to do what was right rather than what more partisan elements in his party thought, has died.

The Governor had a major hand in making what Nevada and Las Vegas specifically, what it is today. When a lot of people look back at his accomplishments they have said that he was one of the best statesmen the state has ever had.

He will be missed by many.
