Is Madonna the new Celine?

There's a rumor floating around the internet that Madonna is considering a 5-year, $1,000,000,000 deal (why, yes, that IS a lot of zeroes) that would involve performances at several Las Vegas casinos. The London Son reports that Las Vegas officials are brokering the deal to help breathe new life into the economically-troubled Las Vegas. If sealed, this deal would trump Celine Dion's 3-year, 600-show run, which grossed $400 million.

No word yet on which casinos are interested or how much ticket prices could be. Would you go? How much would you spend to see the Material Girl?

That is definitely a lot of zeros.

As to whether or not I would go? The answer is no. I just have other things and people I would far rather see when I go to Vegas.

As far as ticket prices go, I imagine that they will be quite high and personally I just dont think I would want to spend what they would want just to see someone that I would far rather replace seeing with someone like Terry Fator.

I have enjoyed the earlier music from Madonna, however her later stuff wasn't that great.

Though depending on the ticket prices, yes I would probably want to go see her in concert some where.

Though if ticket prices are high then I would most likely pass it up as well. I would like to see her in concert but I am not going to spend a whole lot of money to see her.

We all know that Madonna has had some unique fashion statements that she has made over the years!

Even with all of this and as good as Madonna is at what she does, she could never possibly take the place of Celine Dion! These two ladies are one of a kind and could never take the place of the other.

I would say the only common factor between Celine and Madonna are the fact that they may have/had big deals in Las Vegas. Other than that, they are nothing alike! I do like both of them though. Celine has a voice that is unmatched and Madonna is simply unique. I'd love to see either one in concert. It would be a ton of fun!
