New star on the Walk of Fame in Vegas

The Palms Casino Walk of Fame has a new star. Michael Jacksons star was dedicated on August 29th, which would have been his 51st birthday.

Michaels father, Joe, accepted the tribute for his son. His father stated that,

I still get mixed feelings about stuff like this. One the one hand he was a musical genius and transformed pop music. He is much deserving of the star but with all the other claims surrounding his life I have a hard time put him on a pedestal.

I agree with you on this one VegasLover!! I am sick of hearing about him to be honest.

Others more important than him has passed and no one gave them this attention. Just like Dominick Dunne passed and I have not see anything put about him and he put the Hollywood stars in the news the right way.

I'll third that!

Yes, he did wonderful things for the entertainment world and beyond. But enough is enough. He is on every channel you flip to still! Yes, it's sad. I hope they figure out what happened and that person is made to pay the price but I am ready to move on.

I'm with the majority on this subject.

Now all the stories and rumors will become more stories, and books will be written for the public to buy.

It's all about the money that can be made by a well known person who's passed on, whether they were good or bad in the public eye.
