Default Rio robbed.

In an act similar to " The Biker Bandit", a man robs the Rio. Seems he arrived and left by taxi.

The man who was reportedly wearing a face mustache and a fedora hat walks up to a table and starts grabbing chips.

When the dealer slaps his hand he then pulls a gun and walks back out the door to the awaiting cab. Heading off into an unknown direction.

His brazen attempt netted him $32,000 in chips of varying denominations. The majority of them however where $1000 chips.

I can't wait to see how this one plays out. Is this guy gonna be a moron too and advertise his take. We will have to wait and see but I think that its time for the casinos to get more security on the floors.

It seems that dumbass attacks seem to be the going thing these days.

Is the guy looking for jail time or what here? Seems he must not listen to the news or read the newspapers.

Yea, time will tell if he will also be a braggart and get caught. And it wont surprise me a bit to see that he does brag about it.

More security seems to be a necessity. And doesnt this guy know that the cab companies keep track of where people get dropped off at. Wonder if he had them drop him off at home? Lol

One thing a lot of these robbers probably don't understand; "There are cameras in the Casinos!"

Oh, one might think they can cover their face or wear a disguise; it doesn't work my friends.

With the technology in forensic cameras and computers these days, a robber/theif will find it nearly impossible to get away with the money, even with a hood over his/her face.

If the person who robbed the Rio was in there once before, he's toast!
We may not hear about it, but they'll get their man. ()

It seems to be open season on the casinos in Las Vegas lately!!! I can not believe that people are brave enough to even attempt to pull something like this off. It's crazy. The show called " America's Dumbest Criminals" is going to have a whole lot of new material for their show if this keeps up.

I have to admit that I am surprised that the casinos in Las Vegas didn't beef up their floor security to help prevent this kind of thing happening in their casino's after the Bellagio was robbed.

Though like VegasLuvsMe said there are plenty of security cameras in the casinos and they will catch the robber!! It may take some time but eventually he will be put behind bars where he belongs!!

I just read an article about this. The whole thing was caught on tape and police are going through the surveillance video to help in the case.

Apparently the man or woman was also wearing a pair of sunglasses.

It all went down at 4:40 in the morning on Thursday.

The robber did have a gun but thankfully no one was injured.

The robber got $21,000 in 1,000 chips. The rest were in $500, $100 and $25 denominations.

This just after the "Biker Bandit" made a court appearance on Wednesday for stealing $1.4 million in chips from the Bellagio last December. He was caught trying to sell the $25,000 chips to an undercover officer. After that robbery the Bellagio decided to do away with the $25,000 chips.
