Sex Offenders

There are about 30 young sex offenders live in five group homes throughout Clark County, but you will not find them on Nevada or Metro Police’s sex offender websites. My question is why?

Well the reason is they are juvenile sex offenders, juveniles do not need to register. I do not believe that is right it is a big crime so why should no one be able to know what type of neighbor they have even if they are under 18.

This is trying to be changed just for the reason I just mentioned, hopefully they can change that law I know I would want to know if one was my neighbor.

i believe that any sex offender at any age should have to register, teenage sex crimes are on the rise and a clear message needs to be sent that no matter what age you are if you commit a sexual offense you will be punished.

i also believe that sexual offense records should not be sealed just because the offender is underage,the public has a right to know if a 16 year old neighbor has commited a sex crime just as they would if it was a 30year old.

My Lord yes they need to be registered as well as adult sex offenders. The fact that they are not is ridiculous to me. A crime like this isn't something that fits into an age. And surrounding people need to be aware so that they can better protect themselves as well as their teenagers and younger children.

For crying out loud you could send your sixteen year old daughter out on a date with an underage sex offender and never be aware of it... possibly before it's too late. Thats not right at all.

Another thing, most underage records can be erased, and this is something that should renain on their records for life.

Just because a person reaches adulthood doesnt mean that they would syop commting this henious crime.

I have to agree with everything that you all said. Underage sex offenders should be forced to register and their records never erased.

Just because these people become adults the crimes that they have comitted should follow them all through life. We all know that the victims of their crimes are NEVER going to be able to forget what happened, so why should the criminals get away with it??

I can understand some underage criminal charges being erased because they were minor, but something like this should never be. Sex offenders should be haunted by their records for the rest of their lives plain and simple and hopefully this law will be changed and all sex offenders regardless of age will be forced to register.

At least then it will be safer for those around them and we can all help protect the children in the area better.

Well, whenyou consider that both boys and girls babysit, then yes, these kids need to be registered as sex offenders simply because at some point in time they will be returnig home and pssibly babysitting and parents have the right to know in order to protect their children.

Oh so true!!! God it is scary to even think that these monsters could be babysitting children!!! That thought is enough to make my skin crawl.
