Default Nobu to Expand on the Las Vegas Strip

The pricey Japanese restaurant chain Nobu has plans to expand their business into a hotel chain.

They want to have a hotel with restaurant up and running on the strip sometime next year.

In an ambitious bid to transform the brand into a hotel chain, Nobu plans to open a combined restaurant-hotel on the Las Vegas Strip next year. Actor Robert DeNiro is one of Nobu's owners.

Caesars Palace plans to spend millions of dollars on redesigning one of its towers into a 180-room Nobu tower, the Associated Press reports.
Another Nobu hotel/restaurant combo was planned for Manhattan but it looks like this one will open first.

To compete with the other hotels on the strip, this will have to be one high end hotel with some really great looking rooms.

I am very anxious to see what those rooms will look like and what the price comparison will be between this hotel and others on the strip.

Since it is a pricey Japanese Restaurant to begin with, one would expect some great looking rooms but with higher prices. I would be surprised to find out otherwise.

Although I've never been inside a Nobu restaurant, I know they have had high reviews and very high star ratings in the world of restaurants (in the past).

The Nobu expanding to include hotels with their restaurants may be the best move on their part, plus there will probably be a lot more Japanese visiting Las Vegas because of this move.

More rich people in Las Vegas means more revenue for this big struggling city.

I hope the Nobu expansion will work out and bring in more tourists. And, I'd like to check them out on my next Las Vegas visit.

I am sure it will be some pretty fancy digs!

But they will have to keep their prices competitive with others on the strip of the same "class".

It's good news to hear of business's wanting to open or expand in Las Vegas. That means things are looking up. They wouldn't even attempt it if they didn't think things were getting stronger.
